The track-only hypercar is a better missile on a competitive edge!
The one of two Bugatti's build that can cross the 300-mph barrier, Bolide is an unbeatable concept that satisfies the demand of ultra-lightweight construction, lightning-fast speed, and aesthetic style.
Quality designed Bugatti's Bolide is foremost with its leading 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W-16 engine.
Moreover, the engine has enhanced turbos that produce evenly shoot from 0-62 mph in 2.17 seconds and 0- 124 mph in 4.36 seconds.
The same W-16 quad-turbo engine is installed in Divo and Chiron. But this time, Bugatti's makes something exceptional, Bolide is equipped with an upgraded dry sump oil system, air to air intercooler switching, powerful turbos, and DE throttling of intakes and exhaust systems enable the output exceeds as much as 1825 horsepower and 1364 lb-ft of torque.
The Prototype seems to be Bugatti's fastest car
A car that is named “Bolide” mean Racing car in French. Although
Bugatti revealed that the Bolide will cross 310 mph, yet the actual top speed is still not tested.
To meet the level of power better than ever, engineers put their brain-melting ideas into the structure.
They equip the W-16 engine with four turbochargers that can boost the power even at higher rates. But this upgrade comes with heavy heating problems.
To compensate for the amount of heat due to extra fabricated power, cooling and oil systems are completely redesigned. Furthermore, the water-to-air intercooler is switched to an air-to-air intercooler that functions on pre-cooling of water.
The Ultra-Lightweight design features a weight-to-power ratio at its best!
Because the design of Bugatti's Bolide reflects much more of Formula 1 racing cars, its weight to power ratio is quite efficient. Can you consider the productivity of a 0.67 weight to power ratio all-wheel-drive car? We know, it's amazing, just like the eight months workout of Bugatti's team over this mind-
blowing Bolide idea.
Specifically, it weighs only 1,240 kg which is astonishing if we compare it with a 100 kg heavy Porsche Cayman GT4.
Whenever it comes to beat the records; Bugatti Bolide is no exception.
High-end track-only hypercar is going to break multiple records. "Driving the Bolide is like riding on a cannonball" said Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann. Therefore, it will be a great charm to see Bolide on the track breaking huge records set for years.
Bugatti claimed that the record to lap famous Nürburgring will be no more. The current record holder is Lamborghini Aventador SVJ which covered Nürburgring in 6 minutes 44 seconds. The new record will be 5 minutes 20 seconds, and that is 1 minute 20 seconds faster.
The record-smashing weapon will also lap Circuit de la Sarthe better than a champion. The record is set for 3 minutes 15 seconds and Bugatti's Bolide will finish 8 seconds faster than record qualifying Toyota TS050.
No Production Plan showed yet, Still High Hopes in Market
There were high plans before the Covid-19 outbreak. As explained by Bugatti chief Stephan Winkelmann before lockdown, the brand would create record by generating the best revenue of 2020.
According to him, 2020 would be “maybe the best year ever”. Also, he mentioned the pre-plans for the year 2021 that 70% of the production cars are already sold.
Unfortunately, a massive production was postponed and many plans diminish. In fact, the production of Bugatti's Bolide is not confirmed yet but the company seems to be confident about it.
